Some rides become a tradition before we even notice it. Around our anniversary, which really falls on the 26th, we have often found ourselves coming back to these roads: lavender fields, warm light, small villages, and the quiet rhythm of a motorcycle day shared by two people who still like to feel a little in love. The bikes have changed over the years. The roads have changed too. But the most important things have stayed the same: the same wife, the same desire to leave together, the same need to stop in front of a landscape simply because it is beautiful. In Provence, lavender usually begins to flower around mid-June on the warmer plateaus, especially near Valensole, and often reaches its best colours between late June and mid-July. Higher areas can keep the bloom later, sometimes toward the end of July or early August, depending on the season. The best moments are early morning and late afternoon, when the heat softens and the purple rows hold the light. For us, this ride is not only about a destination. It brings together three passions: the motorcycle, nature, and the kind of travelling that leaves enough space to breathe. The blue of the bike, the purple of the fields, the smell of summer in the air, and the mountains in the distance — all of it becomes part of the same memory. Maybe one day these trips will become more organised, longer, and shared with others who love slow roads and open landscapes. But the heart of it will stay the same: two people, one motorcycle, a field of lavender, and the simple joy of being on the same road again. #MotorbikeSlowTravel #MotorcycleTravel #SlowTravel #LavenderFields #Provence #Valensole #RideToExplore #AnniversaryRide #TravelByMotorcycle #MotorcycleLife #RoadTrip #SouthOfFrance #LavenderSeason #Backroads #HarleyDavidson #TwoWheels #NatureTravel
