Lucca — first stop in Central Italy

Some trips begin before the first real road. This year we are heading into Central Italy with friends: Tuscany, Umbria, and Emilia-Romagna. A few regions, many backroads, and the same old idea — travel slowly enough to feel where you are. The first stop was Lucca. A city full of history, but still alive. Clean, cared for, easy to walk, easy to like. One of those places where you arrive tired from the road and, after a few minutes, you already feel at home. An evening walk through stone streets. A morning coffee in the light. Quiet corners, open squares, old walls, and that simple Italian feeling that makes you want to stay a little longer. Lucca was a beautiful start.
