At Last, Biarritz

At Last, Biarritz

Some days are short on kilometres and full of arrival. We finally reached Biarritz, and it welcomed us with 36 degrees of heat, Atlantic light, and the particular energy of Wheels and Waves. The morning was the shortest road stage of the trip: Pamplona to Biarritz, with a small and beautiful pause in Saint-Jean-de-Luz before the coast opened up. After the heat and the riding, the ocean felt like a change of rhythm. A walk on the beach, an aperitif, dinner, and then those sunset photographs that make a place stay with you longer than expected. There is a lot of energy here. Not the loud kind only, but the kind that comes from people, machines, music, salt air and shared roads. Around the festival village: hay bales, old racing numbers, custom bikes, sidecars, worn paint, checkered flags, and riders who all seem to have arrived from different stories. The day ended with a small concert, surrounded by beautiful motorcycles and funny, restless people. After the easiest ride of the journey, Biarritz gave us one of the fullest evenings. Tomorrow we begin the way back. Tonight, we stay a little longer with the waves. #motorbikeslowtravel #wheelsandwaves #wheelsandwaves2026 #biarritz #saintjeandeluz #pamplona #basquecountry #atlanticcoast #motorcycletravel #slowtravel #mototravel #roadtrip #vintagemotorcycles #custommotorcycles #dirttrack #twowheels #ridefrance #ridespain #motorcyclelife
